The Ceremony
There are many components to the actual wedding ceremony, especially if you make it personal with readings, family and friends participating and many other optional elements.

First, you have to understand how formal you want the ceremony to be... will you have a traditional dress or suit or are you both more inclined to roll up your pants, wiggle your toes in the sand and say your vows at dawn?

While you are thinking about this, location begins to play a part in the decision making process.  If you have your heart set on having 150 of your closest friends and family in attendence, than having the wedding in your parent's smallish living room becomes challenging.  The actual location is defined in your overall planning process.

As you consider your
ceremony preference, which will set the tone of the service, you will, also, need to bear in mind how you would like your friends and family to play a part in your day.  Most people will be enthusiastic to share in the honor and excitement of your wedding as long as you have asked a few months in advance so they have time to practice and review their role.  The ceremony options are not just the people who are joining you but the physical objects that you want incorporated into your service.
And let's not forget the vows.  Have you decided if you want to write all or part of your vows?  We can work together to create the exact expression of your love, the couple can write them together or I would recommend I Do! I Do! The Marriage Vow Workbook to give the process some focus and fun, too.   If your style is more free flowing, take a peek at my resource page for a few links to additional information that might assist you in this exciting journey.
